On October 29th, local time in the United States, CDTL and Horizon Motor, a new American electric vehicle manufacturer, signed a strategic cooperation agreement in Ohio, USA. Mr. Luo Xunqiang, Chairman of CDTL, and Mr. Sean, CEO of Horizon Motor, attended and signed the agreement on behalf of their respective companies.

In recent years, with the increasing global awareness of environmental protection and the continuous introduction of supportive policies from governments worldwide for clean energy transportation, the development of zero-emission vehicles has become a focus of the industry. The U.S. Joint Office of Energy and Transportation’s National Zero-Emission Freight Strategy, launched in 2024, aims to promote the widespread adoption of zero-emission trucks and encourage states to take action to advance the construction of charging infrastructure for medium and heavy-duty vehicles, thereby accelerating the achievement of zero-emission goals for road freight. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has also updated its greenhouse gas emission regulations for commercial trucks and buses, further clarifying the specific pathways for industry emission reduction.

This collaboration between CDTL and Horizon Motor will leverage CDTL’s strong R&D capabilities, core component expertise, and the strategic resources of Horizon Motor’s core shareholders to rapidly advance projects such as electric special-purpose vehicles, electric trailers, and electric tractors in the United States.
